Junior Council supports the Pediatric & Adolescent HIV/AIDS Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Established in 1988 The program cares for more children and adolescents than any other pediatric HIV service in the region. Our mission is to support the program and ensure all children with HIV/AIDS, regardless of their ability to pay, have access to high-quality pediatric healthcare.

Junior Council has raised close to $2,000,000 for the hospital and each year, we strive to exceed our fundraising goals. These funds are split amongst 4 different funds and help to support our scholarship program. The main contributor to our fundraising goal is Snowball.

Snowball is one the city’s premier black-tie fundraisers, held at the Field Museum, with 2,000+ attendees, premiere catering, live band and silent auction. Our committee is responsible for all snowball details. This includes managing relationships with vendors, in-kind donors and The Field Museum, as well as, collaborating with other executive board members whose positions support snowball.
